Manali Adventure
Paragliding, rafting and the tunnel drive to Lahaul, with cafés in Old Manali to recover in.

Himachal Pradesh, India
Deodar forests, the Beas running loud beside the road, and Solang Valley opening into snow at the top of the pass. The classic Himalayan first trip.
Overview
Manali is the easiest Himalayan trip to run from Delhi — an overnight Volvo or a short flight to Bhuntar, then a valley that opens into Solang, Sissu and, in season, the Atal Tunnel to Lahaul.
Old Manali and Vashisht are the nicer bases: cafés, cedar houses and hot springs, ten minutes from the Mall Road noise. Snow points move with the season, so we confirm them a week before travel rather than promising a location in the brochure.
Popular attractions
Paragliding, zorbing and the ropeway; snow from December to March.
The 9km tunnel to Lahaul and a very different, drier landscape on the far side.
A 16th-century cedar pagoda in a deodar grove.
Natural sulphur baths above the town.
An easy 45-minute forest walk from Vashisht.
Kath-kuni architecture and the Roerich estate down the hill.
Packages
