Our story
Started in 2012 with
one camera and a favour.
Elise Marchand shot a friend's wedding in Burgundy because nobody else could. She came back with 400 frames, no plan, and a very clear idea of the kind of pictures she wanted to keep making — unposed, warm, patient, and printed rather than scrolled.
Fourteen years on, Lumière is four photographers and a studio in New York. We have shot in thirty-eight countries and still take a limited number of weddings a year, because the alternative is doing them badly.
We do not sell packages that pad out a spreadsheet. We quote what the day actually needs, we deliver on time, and we hand over full rights to your own pictures.

How we work
The method

Enquiry
Tell us the date, the place and what matters. We reply within one working day with availability and a fixed quote.
02
Treatment
A short document: references, light, wardrobe, shot list and schedule. Nothing goes to camera before we agree on it.
03
The shoot
One named lead photographer, an assistant, and as little interference as the day allows.
04
Delivery
Hand-graded selects in a private gallery within five to fifteen days, with print and web files and full usage rights.
